Inclusion of targeted keywords in domain names, URL, and various types of tags are very useful for keyword based search engine optimization. When you include the targeted keyword or the key phrase in the domain name that is registered, it is one way of search engine spiders finding you out conveniently. For instance, when your target keyword is “mortgage” and your domain name ends in the words “mortgage.com” the search engines will give you priority when the viewers type in the keyword “mortgage” for their searches. Recently, a client of ours received an unsolicited email message from a search engine optimization company that was looking to drum up some business. The generic email informed our client that their website was missing a “Google Sitemap file”, and that it was in their best interests to get one.
